Aillwee Cave Testimonials

A large group of us visited Santa at Aillwee Cave on Sunday the 19th of December.  And I just wanted to email you to say Thank You So Much.  It was just wonderful.  For some of the group it was their first visit, for us it was the fourth.  It has become more and more enjoyable every year, partly due to the fact that the kids are getting older and more into it but also because ye put so much effort into each and every visit.  Everyone in our group thought it was just fantastic and all agreed they would be back again next year.  Could you please pass on our appreciation to all members of staff.

Thanks again and will be booking to see Santa again soon.

Many Thanks

I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation and gratitude to your staff. Myself, my husband and my two children, Ciaran 10 and Aisling 7 went to the Santa experience there on Friday 21st for a late afternoon visit, about 4.30 I think. From the moment we arrived they were spellbound. The amount of effort and thought that went into every element of their time there, the attention to detail and the good humour of the staff, the sense of fun and excitement that was created, the wonderful atmosphere with all the charachters and treats, puppet shows and goodie bags all made it a magical visit for them. The build up to see Santa himself and the fantastic way that was done with the singing and the the stops along the way made the evening so memorable for them. The carnival rides were a real treat and the fact that we, the adults, were also pampered with the coffee, the warm fruit juice and the beautiful christmas decoration all added to what was without doubt the highlight of our Christmas this year.

Thank you to all who were involved in putting it together. From the moment I rang to book it and the kindness of the woman who answered the phone it was an absolute pleasure to deal with all your staff and your event

Thank you sooo much. All I can say is thanks. We had a fab day honestly - one family had to miss it so there was only 5 adults and 3 kids but is was amazing. We got to Aillwee at about lunch time so grabbed a quick lunch of gorgeous soup and sandwiches. The cafe staff were very nice to the kids. I spoke to a lady at the main desk - she seemed unaware of everything but she had no problem- trusted me completely. We had a lovely tour of the caves; I had not been there in years so it was great. Though poor Aoibheann was tired before we got there and was awake for the whole cave whinging on and off so hope the people on the tour were not too put out! Then down to the birds of prey - that is a real treasure isn’t it. Absolutely amazing. The kids got to hold the birds and the show itself was fab. We spend hours, literally - strolling around between all the attractions and shops.. It is a great place to work I imagine. And the food - the cheese is dangerous on the figure lol!
Thanks again!

We were rushed and almost passed on this cave in the Burren. We're so glad we didn't. Although family-owned, the proprietors have taken great pains to maintain the cave's natural integrity just as you'd expect from dedicated conservationists by limiting the number of people on the tours and using only minimal lighting as you travel through the cave. Time did not permit us to enjoy the birds of prey, but it looks like an impressive collection to view. You can also venture a walk into the Burren right from the parking lot, an experience in and of itself. This is not a "tourist trap" but a real chance to explore a key-hole type cave, walk over bridges and by a waterfall underground.
